Weymouth Beach offers three miles of fine golden sand stretching along the gently curving Georgian seafront. This Blue Flag awarded beach has been welcoming families since George III popularized seaside holidays here in the late 1700s. The shallow, gradually sloping waters remain safe for paddling children, while the promenade features traditional seaside attractions including Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, and colourful beach huts. Victorian and Edwardian architecture lines the esplanade creating a quintessentially English seaside scene. Modern additions include excellent water sports facilities, beach volleyball courts, and the iconic Jubilee Clock. The beach hosted Olympic sailing events in 2012. Whether building sandcastles, swimming, or simply relaxing with ice cream watching the world pass by, Weymouth Beach delivers classic British seaside charm.
